‘NEGALITRES FOR SCHOOL’ : RIVER AND WATER EDUCATION PROGRAMME AT SJKC HENG EE – 19TH APRIL 2024

On April 19, 2024, Water Watch Penang (WWP) successfully hosted the ‘Negalitres for School’ River and Water Education Programme at SJKC Heng Ee, engaging 175 students from Standards 1 to 6 along with 6 teachers from 8.00 am to 10.00 am. Led by Mr. Hanson Yeoh, the WWP Programme Officer, the session was supported by WWP interns Mr. Dane Lim Chiu Tong, Ms. Fatin Azahara and Ms. Nur Atiqah. It commenced with a comprehensive overview of WWP’s objectives and past efforts.

The students were then introduced to the global water crisis, with a focus on the challenges faced by African nations in accessing clean water, illustrated through the narrative of “The Water Princess” storybook. Mr. Hanson Yeoh effectively conveyed the story’s message, leaving a lasting impression on the students regarding the significance of water resources.

WWP-MBSP Penang Secondary School Water Quiz Competition 2019. – 15th November 2019, Auto City, Bukit Mertajam, Penang.

Water Watch Penang (WWP) in collaboration with Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai (MBSP), have organised the Penang Secondary School Water Quiz Competition 2019 on the 15th November 2019. A total of 65 students from 13 secondary schools in Penang, participated in this competition, hosted and sponsored by Auto City, Penang.
