As part of the Rainwater Harvesting Project in Johor, Water Watch Penang (WWP) successfully conducted two water education sessions with the participation of Microsoft volunteers on 8 and 9 April 2025. The sessions were led by WWP’s Project Assistant, Ms. Nurainshafika (Ain), with support from Dr. Hong Chern Wern, Executive Manager of WWP, who facilitated the hands-on activities.
The participating schools were:
a) 8 April 2025 – SK Tasek Utara
More than 300 students and 10 teachers (Standard 4, 5, and 6)
b) 9 April 2025 – SMK Bandar Baru Uda
Over 200 students and 4 teachers (Form 3)
