Online Forum: Averting Future Water Crises: the Way Forward in Malaysia – 9th June 2020.
Water Watch Penang has successfully organised its very first-ever forum, online via ‘zoom application’ on the 9th of June 2020. Focusing on the topic of water crises, the title of the forum was ‘Averting Future Water Crises: the Way Forward in Malaysia was held from 9.00 pm to 10.00 pm. The online forum attracted more than 50 participants from public and private institutions as well as other NGOs with 4 speakers who were Prof Dr Chan Ngai Weng, a Professor in Universiti Sains Malaysia and President of Water Watch Penang, Prof Dato Dr Mohd Ekhwan Haji Toriman, Professor in Centre for Research in Development, Social and Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Prof Dr Narimah Samat, Professor in Geographic Information System and Dean of School of Humanities, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and Dr Hong Chern Wern, Senior Facilitator and Life Member of Water Watch Penang.

The area is filled with e-waste, raising concerns of a looming pollution crisis amid a water shortage caused by the current dry spell in the region.
WWP-MBSP Penang Secondary School Water Quiz Competition 2019. – 15th November 2019, Auto City, Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
Water Watch Penang (WWP) in collaboration with Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai (MBSP), have organised the Penang Secondary School Water Quiz Competition 2019 on the 15th November 2019. A total of 65 students from 13 secondary schools in Penang, participated in this competition, hosted and sponsored by Auto City, Penang.

The Salcon Smart Water Programme Inter-State Water Quiz Competition 2019 took place on the 2nd of November 2019 for the 2nd time since its first version which was organised in the year 2012. Hosted by the Westminster College, this water quiz, in partnership with Water Watch Penang and Universiti Sain Malaysia, has attracted a total participation of 56 lower secondary students from 14 schools in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur collectively.
