GREW-WWP Partnership: Negalitres for Schools River and Water Education Programme

4th November 2022: Green Educator’s Workgroup (GREW) teachers, the headmistress of SJKC Yok Eng, Madam Tan Ming Teng and Cikgu Norshila Binti Abdul Mutalib from SK Convent Green Lane, have successfully conducted river and water education programme for their respective schools. Madam Tan Ming Teng conducted the programme on the 7th of November 2022 for the whole school which was a total of 261 students, and 24 teachers, while Cikgu Norshila Binti Abdul Mutalib managed to conduct on the 3rd of November 2022 involving an overall number of 25 students.

14 November 2022: An educational talk session was conducted by Dr Hong Chern Wern, Execution Manager of Water Watch Penang via invitation by Biji-Biji Initiative for SJKC Chong Cheng at Penang Science Cluster. SJKC Chong Cheng is also one of our registered schools in Negalitres programme of Water Watch Penang.

SALCON SMART WATER PROGRAMME FOR SMK BUKIT GADING – 12nd NOVEMBER 2022, TAMAN PERSEKUTUAN BUKIT KIARA, KUALA LUMPUR

The fifth and final Salcon Smart Water Program of the year took place on the 12th November 2022 at Taman Persekutuan Bukit Kiara in collaboration with Salcon Berhad. A total of 40 Form 6 students, and 4 teachers from SMK Bukit Gading attended this river activity.

‘NEGALITRES FOR SCHOOLS’ – River and Water Education Program at SJK(C) Kampong Sungai Lembu – 9th November 2022

On November 9, 2022, Water Watch Penang (WWP) hosted a session of river and water awareness educational programme assisted by Ms Ong Ke Shin and Mr Ooi Che Khai at SJKC Kampung Sungai Lembu. The educational programmes were attended by a total of 39 students and participated by the headmistress and her senior assistants.

Triple ‘River and Water Education Programme’ in a week at SK Titi Teras, SJKC Keng Koon, and SMK Saujana Indah

7-November-2022: Water Watch Penang (WWP) has conducted a river water education programme in two schools: SK Titi Teras (1st November 2022), SJKC Keng Koon (3rd November 2022) and SMK Saujana Indah (5th November 2022) under the Negalitres for Schools Programme and MBSP-Negalitres for Schools Programme respectively.

A total of 30 students from SK Titi Teras, together with more than 300 students from SJKC Keng Koon and 23 students from SMK Saujana Indah participated in this education session conducted jointly by Dr. Hong Chern Wern, Ms. Ong Ke Shin and Mr. Ooi Che Khai.
