WWP-School of Humanities USM Family Day Environment, River & Water Awareness Day, 8 August 2009

A total of 50 School of Humanities USM staff and postgraduate students (and their families) will be taken to the Penang Botanic Gardens to learn the environment, the importance of rivers, water catchments, forests, and about various ways to monitor the quality of the Sg Air Terjun via physical, chemical and biological indicators. The participants will also learn about the water treatment process when visiting the PBA's Waterfall Water Treatment Plant, Malaysia's oldest water treatment plant. The activity is sponsored by USM's Institute of Postgraduate Studies and is co-organised by Water Watch Penang and the School of Humanities USM.
